Cipro is an antibacterial drug used to treat various infections. It’s also known as Ciprofloxacin. It interferes with enzymes, causing DNA rewinding after being copied. This process stops protein and DNA synthesis.

The drug was created by Bayer A.G. It was patented in 1983 by the same company, and approved by FDA in 1987.

Cipro is used to treat these infections:

It’s not recommended to use ciprofloxacin if you are using tizanidine, because there might be contraindications. Also, it shouldn’t be taken if you’re pregnant and it’s not recommended taking the drug for more than 14 days.

Cipro should be taken with full glass of water. The tablet shouldn’t be chewed or broken. It can be taken either with or without food, but at the same time every day. Dairy products may make Cipro less effective. If you miss the dose, don’t try to make up for it by taking double dose the next time, it’s dangerous and you might overdose.
